“A little more than history recorded — one extra blade in every line.”
The enemy fields +1 extra unit at the start of every phase.
Once you've beaten The Commander and cleared a full campaign, a mutator becomes available: a modifier you pick once, at the start of a new campaign, that applies to every phase of that run. It doesn't invent new difficulty — it dials up two levers the engine already measures (enemy resource handicap and enemy starting units). Clear a run under a mutator and your final score is multiplied — the harder the mutator bites, the bigger the payout.
One mutator per run, locked the moment you clear your first phase — no swapping mid-campaign. Under any mutator, the flawless-run retry penalty is waived, so the multiplier shown below is the net reward.
“A little more than history recorded — one extra blade in every line.”
The enemy fields +1 extra unit at the start of every phase.
“Deeper walls, fuller granaries — a foe that was ready long before you came.”
Enemy economy is 50% richer, every phase.
“They come in numbers no chronicle dared to count.”
The enemy fields +2 extra units at the start of every phase.
